History for Lunch: Singing America's Songs

Wednesday, July 3, 2019
12:15 PM - 1:00 PM

Have you ever wondered about the music we hear on the Fourth of July? What makes a song patriotic, and how do some endure the test of time? What do some of those lyrics mean, anyway?

Learn the histories behind some of the greatest patriotic American songs ever written with Sandra Krueger and Dr. Rachel Gragson as they host a sing-along and lecture to celebrate America's birthday.

This program is free and open to the public. Please note that the event will be held in the Gaither Auditorium. Feel free to come early to enjoy your lunch and beverage in the Tile Classroom before the program begins in the Auditorium.
